IBVTA update on Elf Bar 600 products
The IBVTA have been liaising with the relevant authorities to bring our members the most up to date information regarding the situation with Elf Bar 600 products.
A number of weeks ago, the manufacturers of Elf Bar 600 products agreed a suite of actions with the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), including a voluntary withdrawal of some of the products they supply to the UK market. Although these products did not pose an immediate safety risk to consumers, they were found to have been over filled beyond the UK’s legal limit of 2ml of liquid.
Our Trading Standards Primary Authority, Kent County Council, has advised that if a retailer is visited by a local Trading Standards Officer and is found to be selling the identified batches of Elf Bar 600s, they risk enforcement action.
The IBVTA has informed our members of these batches, and should any new information become available, we will be updating our members accordingly.
