IBVTA’s ‘write to your MP’ campaign

Since the first measures on businesses in light of controlling coronavirus were announced back in March, the IBVTA has continuously engaged with the UK Government and the devolved parliaments, as well as with our smoking cessation and public health stakeholders. 

As an IBVTA member, writing to your local MP is an effective way to help our campaign. Vape shops, which provide smokers with the most effective and popular method of quitting smoking should at least be seen as essential as tobacco retailers and off-licences, and this is the best opportunity for our members and their customers to ensure their elected representatives are aware of their importance. 

If you are a vape shop owner or operator, you can download the template letter we have prepared for you to use to write directly to your elected representative. You can find your local MP’s contact details, including their email address, by entering your postcode at: https://members.parliament.uk/FindYourMP. 

We are also asking vaping retail business owners to encourage their customers to write to their MPs, and have provided a template for them to use for this purpose.
